National Sales Manager

The national sales manager role is responsible for managing a large section of the Animal Feeds & Proteins Business, Independently handling Sales & distribution & Build leadership position in the DOC vertical.

Key Accountability Areas:

- Business Development Identify and open up new markets, winning business from new customers and increasing market share from existing customers. Build leadership position in the Poultry Feed market (>35% MS), through effective Sales & Distribution and Market Segmentation. Expand footprint to cover all parts of Nigeria - current footprint excludes South East/South and North East.

- Business Management The candidate will have to closely manage budgets / costs, define growth targets and manage all aspects of operations. This is a profit-center role and the candidate will be responsible for aggressively driving growth and focus on financial performance of the center as a business unit.

- Operations Management As Head of the BU, the incumbent will have to manage the operations of the factories, ensure quality and process efficiencies and manage the operations matrix across the depth and width of the unit. Manage the 2 large feed mills (current capacity 600,000 TPA) through a high calibre Technical team. Work on achieving all operational efficiency benchmarks and double the capacity by 2020.

- Risk Management Build perspective through synthesis of information, analysis and risk assessment. Identify and mitigate counterparty and credit risk.

- Position Management Work collaboratively with PCH DOC for supply planning and strategic stocking of bulk raw materials.

- Work collaboratively with PCH - Animal Proteins for developing effective feed and DOC (day-old-chicks) bundling strategies and forward integration into contract farming.

Person Characteristics:

- The incumbent should have proven experience as a "self starter" with a strong element of dynamism and the ability to move fast and get things done. He should have the stature and the maturity that commands the respect of his peers.

To be successful you should:

- Have a nack of commercial orientation with the ability to run a profit center independently. Should have exposure in managing large teams and have prior experience in growing the scale of operations and enlarging the team size.

- Have an ownership mindset! And desire to run the Show Independently.

- Have very good people management, communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to collaborate with and influence a matrix of internal and external customers at varied levels.
