Oil & Gas Production Consultant - Upstream - Consulting Firm - Contractual

Our client, a global consulting firm, is currently engaged in a consulting project with a prominent Indian Oil & Gas PSU in the Exploration & Production sector. The primary focus of this project is to optimize production processes within the client's onshore mature fields.

To assist with this initiative, they are seeking a senior expert with prior production experience, particularly in onshore mature fields within the oil and gas sector.

As a key member of the project team, your responsibilities will include:

- Leading production enhancement initiatives within onshore mature fields, leveraging your hands-on experience with technologies such as plunger lift, hydraulic fracturing, radial drilling, and commingled flow

- Conducting a thorough analysis of challenges specific to mature fields, including addressing issues like water cut and reservoir pressure loss by devising innovative solutions

- Performing comprehensive assessments of the existing surface infrastructure and recommending optimization strategies, which may involve conducting flow line studies

- Collaborating closely with senior client stakeholders and the project team to ensure seamless alignment of recommendations and successful implementation

- Engaging in client-facing activities to effectively communicate findings and provide updates on project progress

Your background:

- A robust background with over 15 years of production experience in the field, with a particular emphasis on onshore mature fields within the oil and gas sector

- Proficiency in a range of production enhancement technologies and methodologies

- Strong problem-solving skills that can be applied to address complex challenges related to reservoir pressure, water cut, and infrastructure

- The capability to analyze existing surface infrastructure comprehensively, leading to well-informed recommendations that optimize flow systems

- Excellent communication skills that enable you to interact effectively with senior client stakeholders and collaborate seamlessly with project teams

- Prior experience working with reputable oilfield service (OFS) companies such as Schlumberger, Halliburton, Baker, or within oil & gas operators

Additional details:

- This is a contractual opportunity and will be on an initial 2 to 3-month contract

- The project team is open to considering experts who can contribute on both a part-time and full-time basis, depending on their availability

- Given the client-facing nature of the role, the expert will be required to either be based in Assam or travel there as needed

- Occasional travel to other locations within India may also be necessary based on project requirements
