DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Leads and promotes overall cost management strategy.

2. Provides leadership to the team to effectively manage standardized complex cost analyses that leverage industry/market data, clean sheet cost build ups, specific cost component indices and internal stakeholders to effectively manage Sysco's product costs.

3. Serves as the liaison between the Cost Management & Strategic Sourcing teams to provide insights to inform negotiation strategies driven by changes in commodity prices to sourcing and category teams

4. Maintains and communicates states of commodity changes with impact on COGS across categories

5. Provides direction to implement, support and ensures the cost management's rigorous processes, procedures and policies are effectively implemented for the handling by the Sourcing team of vendor negotiations

6. Developed effective insights and is responsible for identifying cost and profit opportunities, and scrutinizing proposed cost increases in support of the Strategic Sourcing team

7. Develops and maintains effective cross functional relationships to influence and affect success of sourcing opportunities to full stakeholders needs while attaining achievable cost savings

8. Approves cost changes by working cross functionally with the Strategic Sourcing, Costing Team and Supplier to ensure correct pricing is loaded. Reviews variance reporting and resolves any exceptions with supplier.

9. Reports on and provides strategic insights related to impacts of cost increases for senior leaders

10. Provides ongoing training and education to the team to ensure its ability to execute on the Company and team goals and objectives.

11. Builds a strong development team by ensuring effective coaching and counseling employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
