Offshore Relationship Manager

Location: Mumbai

Our client is a leading player in the investment management sector, specializing in curating innovative financial products and services for global investors. We pride ourselves on our deep market knowledge, strategic insights, and robust relationship management.

Position Overview:


- We are seeking a skilled Offshore Relationship Manager to join our dynamic team.


- The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience with a Big 4 firm, particularly in financial due diligence or consulting, and a strong background in financial services.


- This role involves managing offshore relationships, structuring investment offerings, navigating regulatory landscapes, and driving the execution of debt capital raises.


Key Responsibilities:

- Relationship Management: Assist in managing existing offshore relationships and independently source new relationships to expand our investor base.

- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as structuring, business, treasury, and AIF to develop tailored product offerings for offshore investors.

- Regulatory Knowledge: Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory landscape governing offshore investments in Indian debt capital markets.

- Content Creation: Prepare high-quality content including pitchbooks, pipelines, and regulatory write-ups for investors.

- Partnership Building: Support the development of long-term investment partnerships with offshore investors.

- Execution Management: Oversee end-to-end execution of debt capital raises, including driving due diligence, legal negotiations, and coordination with custodian banks, correspondent banks, rating agencies, hedge providers, trustees, and support teams.

- Post-Transactional Support: Handle post-transactional monitoring and provide ongoing support.

- Investor Engagement: Conduct regular follow-up calls, sector updates, and meetings with current and potential investors.

- Negotiation: Lead negotiations on terms, pricing, and documentation.

- Transaction Structuring: Provide inputs on transaction structuring and new asset classes.

- Sector Understanding: Gain and apply deep knowledge of the sectors and entities represented by the firm through field visits, data analysis, and internal interactions.

- Product Knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of company's products, including regulations, tax considerations, excel modeling, and documentation.

- Networking: Build and maintain a network within the industry.

Must Have

- Experience: 2-4 years of experience with a Big 4 firm (EY/KPMG/Deloitte/PWC/Grant Thornton, Protivity etc.) in financial due diligence, consulting, or process improvement.

- Financial Services Background: Prior experience in financial services is required.

- Education: CA/CFA/MBA is required. An additional qualification such as LLB/CS/M. Com is preferred.

- Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. A sales-driven mindset is essential.

- Preferred: Experience with impact investing, engagement with offshore banks, institutional investors, multilaterals, or other global institutions. Basic understanding of debt markets and associated regulations, including ECBs and NCDs.

Specifications:

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, multitask, and work with multiple teams.

- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
