Requirement Specifications :

1.Candidates having minimum 10 years of experience into Port Operations (including stevedoring) with stockyard management.

2. Should have handled a team of 250 to 300 employees

The primary tasks and responsibilities specific to this position will be :

1. Overall responsibilities for Managing PDI facility - Overall Responsible for smooth & safe operations of PDI activities like receiving inspection, washing, repairs, inventory management, store management, MIS reporting, Stockyard management.

2. Overall responsibility for Stevedoring Activity - Responsible for smooth & safe stevedoring operations of RoRo vessels arriving at Pipavav Port for loading & discharging activity.

3. Coordination & Communication - Responsible for coordination/communication with various OEMs, Mariner Department in Port, CHA and internal team for timely vehicle PDI and exports as per shipment plan.

4. Manpower Management - Responsible for managing, recruitment and training of entire staff engaged in PDI, SY and Stevedoring activities. Ensure required licenses and documents along with supporting are maintained in valid condition at all times at Gemba.

5. Vendor management - Actively participate in all subcontractor negotiations that fall under scope of responsibility. To verify invoices from all subcontractors and follow up for payments.

6. Audits - Carry out regular audits of the PDI facility to ensure customer / NYK requirements are being maintained. Ensure SOP's & MOS as review on regular basis as per business requirement.

7. Safety & Quality - Implement safety and quality as per NYK global standards. Provide feedback on deficiencies and suggestions for improvements. Carry our training, safety campaigns on regular basis as per business / QA team requirements.

8. Budget & P&L - Responsible to set budget for the business after discussion with BU head and ensure profits are maintained as per budget targets. Suggest and implement cost saving initiatives after discussing with BU head.

Salary Offered: 13 - 15 LPA
