As VP - Abroad at NxtWave, your challenge is to drive the growth of our international education business across India. You will guide students through the entire journey from preparation to enrollment in prestigious foreign universities. By leading strategic initiatives and managing regional sales teams, you will ensure NxtWave's Abroad product becomes a go-to solution for students aspiring to study abroad. Additionally, you will own the P&L for the product, ensuring its financial success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Execute International Strategy: Design and implement strategies to guide students through preparation, counseling, and enrollment in foreign universities, while expanding NxtWave's international business.
- Lead International Sales Initiatives: Create partnerships with foreign universities and education providers, expanding our network and enhancing our offerings.
- Drive Student Enrollment: Develop and execute plans to connect with students, provide counseling on study-abroad opportunities, and guide them through the university application and admission processes.
- Expand Business Across India: Take charge of scaling the NxtWave Abroad business across India by establishing strong regional presence and outreach strategies.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a high-performing sales team across different regions, ensuring alignment with company objectives and fostering a culture of accountability and success.
- P&L Ownership: Take full ownership of the profit and loss (P&L) for NxtWave's Abroad product, ensuring its financial health and growth.
- Lead Generation and Outreach: Develop a robust lead generation strategy, leveraging multiple channels to connect with students interested in studying abroad.
- Collaborate Across Functions: Work closely with marketing, product, and operations teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery of services to students.
- Monitor Market Trends: Stay updated on global education trends, study-abroad preferences, and regulatory changes to continuously improve and refine strategies.
- Reporting and Metrics: Track and report on student enrollment numbers, revenue targets, and the overall performance of international sales efforts.

- Experience in Edtech: Preferably 8+ years of experience in the Edtech or education consulting sector, with a focus on international student recruitment or foreign university partnerships.
- Proven Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage sales teams across different regions, ensuring they meet ambitious targets.
- P&L Management Experience: Strong experience in managing the financial performance (P&L) of a product or business unit.
- International Sales Experience: Expertise in selling educational opportunities abroad and guiding students through the application process to foreign universities.
- Lead Generation Expertise: Strong understanding of lead generation tactics and student outreach, with the ability to build connections across various channels.
- Strategic Thinker with Execution Skills: Ability to create and execute international sales strategies while ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Excellent Communication and Negotiation Skills: Ability to build and maintain relationships with foreign universities, educational consultants, and other stakeholders.
- Willingness to Travel: Open to international travel to meet with partner universities and education providers.
- Results-Oriented: A focus on delivering measurable results through student enrollments and international partnerships.
