Summary:
- Support PL (Private Label)/Co-branding strategies by working along with all internal and external stakeholders owning last mile execution.
- Lead all FMCG categories in his/her respective region in the areas of merchandising and procurement department to develop an aggressively growing retail business. Drive sales through program development, branding, product mix, promotions, private label/co-branding programs, special buys and member relationship management.
- Assist Retail Sales Ops team in developing and implementing programs and policies designed to increase sales and profits of departments to achieve planned results. Must maintain proven results in buying and merchandising, envision future programs for organization & franchisee success, responsible for vertical- s P & L. A strong team player.
Key Tasks & Responsibility:
Product Development:
- Analyse market & competitor trends, category trends to launch Private Labels/Co-branding products best suited to consumer needs
- Hands on experience in managing Processed, Packaged & Frozen category. Exposure to Health & Wellness category will be an added advantage
Sourcing:
- Sourcing knowledge of relevant supplier base to on-board products at right price
- Create and manage supplier relations to develop long term, reliable & sustainable business
- Builds a strong supplier/vendor base that would stay relevant at every stage of business
- Position him/herself to be the SPOC for all buying needs of Franchisee and business
Category Management:
- Strong personal competencies adding value in driving business
- Strong sense of urgency influencing to deliver organisation objectives
- People skills to manage relationship with internal/external stake holders, franchisee & suppliers to achieve business goals
- High level of integrity & honesty in all business dealings
- Knowledge of BTL activities to negotiate with brand's to run category related campaigns
Business Development:
- Plan right product assortment that stays relevant to consumers for each stores across city
- Influence stake holders, franchisee and retail ops to drive PL/Co-branding business
- Work closely with retail ops team to constantly benchmark on product range & pricing strategies to gain consumer mindshare
