The AGM plays a crucial role in the purchase process, focusing on negotiating the best prices, extending payment timelines, and expanding supplier relationships. This position requires strong negotiation skills, market awareness, and the ability to manage supplier and customer interactions effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Procurement and Vendor Management:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers through market research.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions.
2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable and cost-effective supply chains.
- Implement strategies to optimize procurement processes and reduce costs without compromising quality.
2. Negotiation and Cost Management:
1. Negotiate favorable payment terms with suppliers to manage cash flow effectively.
- Work closely with the finance team to monitor and improve payment timelines.
- Implement processes to track payment performance and address any delays promptly.
3. Supplier Relationship Management:
1. Build and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers to leverage competitive advantage.
2. Collaborate with suppliers on product quality improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
3. Resolve supplier performance issues and manage supplier contracts effectively.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1) Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
2) CA OR Inter CA candidates are highly preferred.
3) 3 to 4 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
4) Proven track record of negotiating contracts and securing advantageous terms.
5) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
6) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7) Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
8) Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Other Preferences:
1) Experience in Agritech allied procurement practices.
2) Professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
3) Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement.
Working Conditions:
1) This role may require occasional travel to meet with suppliers and attend industry events.
2) Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
