Business Head - Warehousing
- Must have strong experience in Warehousing & Logistics Domain having worked in multiple areas and delivered large projects - Merchandising, E commerce, Customer Experience etc.
- Must have prior experience in running large scale warehouse operations & managing decentralized warehouses.
- Should have led large team of executives and managers.
- Suggest best practices within the company by reviewing and bench-marking of company processes with lead competitors.
Revenue & Budgets :
- Shall be responsible for revenue, overall business strategy & running vertical as a financially independent unit.
- Will be responsible for top line and bottom line revenue targets of the business unit.
- Proven track record of delivering business growth. Tracking of warehouse cost and find out ways to optimize the cost.
- Must maintain budgets, quality & environmental standards, fulfilling any obligations given by a higher office.
- Should lead and manage sales & Pre-sales. Should support solution design and delivery.
Manpower Management :
- Must be able to lead initiatives and people towards common goals. Have the ability to grow and manage large team of 200 + employees.
- Ability to plan for space and manpower by keeping possible scenarios in mind. Suggest corrective & preventive actions; need to be proactive rather than reactive.
- Good organization skills are required as Warehouse Management centers around organization of people, stock and budgets whilst planning for the future.
Relationship Management :
- Should maintain key relationships across clients and partnerships.Must provide thought leadership and strategic guidance at both internal and external interfaces.
- Should have experience across deliveries, client engagement, program management, and revenue management.
- Must also regularly communicate with distributors, suppliers, employees and head office to ensure upholding of quality and delivery standards.
Performance Review :
- Every month, review and revise warehouse productivity bench-marking for each operational activity.
Audit :
- Must carry out necessary perpetual and quarterly physical/data audit at warehouse.
- Should suggest,reinforce & strengthen internal control. Ensure a consistent adherence of defined processes.
- Ensure inventory accuracy by establishing audits through internal and external auditors.
- Analyze & identify the gaps, their possible root cause(s) and capture the reality w.r.t. MIS. Measurement of warehouse operation efficiency through proper MIS & data analysis.
Safety :
- Must ensure that employees are regularly briefed, supervised and trained and any machinery or vehicles are maintained properly upholding health, safety and security in the work place at all times.
- Must adhere to all quality, environmental and health standards of the company.
Inventory :
- Must also take regular stock of the inventory, keeping systems up to date by producing regular reports, and planning for future capacity requirements.
