Nomura - Investment Advisory Analyst - International Wealth Management - Investment Products & Services

Business Unit Overview:

This role in within the IWM Investment Products & Advisory Solutions team. It supports the Investment Advisors (IAs), and offers below opportunities

- Exposure to multiple asset classes from equities, fixed income, FX, derivatives, HFs across the international markets - US, JP, EU, HK, CN etc.

- To work on live client portfolios and situations, culminating in real world impact on revenues and risk

- To learn hands on with industry veterans on how to navigate markets and develop portfolio solutions

- To work in an environment that is entrepreneurial and that values new ideas, innovation and most of all ownership of problems and solutions

Position Specifications:

Experience: 1 - 3 years' experience in financial markets, portfolio management

Qualification: Business / Engineering / Quantitative degree Graduate with strong academic background

Role & Responsibilities:

- Assist Investment Advisors (IAs) based in SG and HK in their marketing efforts by developing portfolios, pitches, trade ideas with relevant marketing and product materials

- Put together custom client pitch books across asset classes

- Provide support to the IAs in managing and monitoring clients' portfolios

- Data mine the portfolios/books to identify sales opportunities

- Track market variables to overlay and develop risk signals

- Liaise and coordinate marketing efforts with IAs in SG and HK and product desks

- Coordinate training schedules for the IAs

- Participate in other duties and projects assigned (e.g. streamline the team's processes in terms of back-ups and risk management)

- Develop tracking spreadsheets to bring about a standardized approach to opportunity and risk management across the book

Mind Set:

Mandatory

- Interest and understanding of financial and investment markets

- Programming skills in VBA and dealing with excel is a must

- Quantitative/analytical mindset

- Good oral and written English communications skills

- Excellent multi-tasker and have problem-solving abilities

- Understanding of Bloomberg and/or Refnitiv
