Nomura - Associate - Securitized Products Whole Loan Trading

Roles and responsibilities :

- Support the Whole Loan Trading team through data analysis and enable data-driven decision making

- Gather, clean and organize data from various sources, ensuring data integrity and accuracy through rigorous data quality checks and validation processes.

- Design and maintain interactive dashboards, reports and visualizations to effectively communicate insights and enable data-driven decision-making.

- Develop and implement data models, algorithms and analytical frameworks to uncover patterns, trends and opportunities within the mortgage data.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable data solutions.

- Continuously explore new data sources and techniques to enhance the team's analytical capabilities.

Skills required :

- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience in data manipulation, analysis and visualization libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Plotly/Dash).

- Understanding of Whole Loans and the mortgage industry is a significant advantage.

- Expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI, with the ability to create compelling and insightful visualizations.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a keen eye for identifying patterns and trends in complex data sets.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity, with a passion for ensuring data quality.

- Ability to communicate complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences, with strong presentation and storytelling skills.

- Collaborative and team-oriented, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
