Roles and Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities for the roles within the Prime Analytics Team would include:
- Design, develop, test and deploy structured and reliable systems for core global Prime Finance functions, such as Risk/Margin, Equity Financing and Business Management, primarily using Python and ReactJS.
- Work with stakeholders across regions to document requirements, design solutions, compile structured test plans and build analytic reports or tools.
- Work with technical teams within the firm to connect and extract data from internal systems, such as reference and market data, risk data, etc.
- Daily monitoring of production reports automated, trouble-shooting / fixing issues and catering to small enhancements.
- Generate decks/ presentations providing business updates/ business strategy for the Prime senior management.
- Run projects to work with various teams like IT, other corporate functions to drive the implementation for strategic initiatives to build a better, flexible MIS.
- Help drive firm level programs on automation, digitization and act as a subject matter expert representing Prime on these forums.
Mandatory Skills:
- Proficient in both Python and ReactJS,
- Good grasp of object oriented and SOLID concepts, with understanding and practical usage of design patterns if needed.
- Very comfortable with the uses of Python libraries such as Pandas and NumPy for data wrangling.
- Experience in at least one Python web framework (Django, FastAPI, Flask, etc).
- Proficient in relational databases (SQL / Oracle) and design of structured data (normalization and de-normalization, indexing, etc.).
- Appropriate use of behavioural and unit testing, and continuous integration/delivery concepts.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies, TDD, etc.
- Comfortable in both a Windows and Linux environment.
- Proven track record in automating manual tasks / excel reports.
- Strong logical, analytical and problem solving skills are a must.
- Strong team player, a quick learner and willing to put extra effort to build stakeholder relations and garner business knowledge.
- Self-starter and ability to multi-task and meet various deadlines.
