Global Markets - Quantitative Investment Strategies Structuring (Index Structuring) Analyst/Associate

Business Unit Overview:

Nomura's Global Markets Quantitative Investment Strategies team has cross-market coverage encompassing equities, rates, currencies, credit and commodities. This role will focus on designing, pricing and publishing systematic strategies.

Team takes a data-driven approach, working closely with quantitative research team, sales team and traders to develop investment strategies. It helps generate revenue by working with internal and external clients, providing insights and actionable ideas to manage risk exposures and deliver trading strategies. The team has won several prestigious mandates from leading clients against competition from both buy-side and sell-side firms.

Team in Mumbai deals works closely with trading, structuring and sales team across the Globe i.e. US, London, Singapore, HK and Tokyo

Role & Responsibilities:

- Work closely with sales and trading to enable new trades/upsize/downsize to be executed; liaise with legal and compliance to book trades and send relevant docs to clients.

- Support senior team members in pitching the ideas internally and externally.

- Answering clients requests, which range from simple data requests to working with SMEs to get data.

- Helping with RFPs

- Preparing marketing materials for internal as well as external purpose such as 1 pagers, new launches,

- Doing research on new products launched, competitor analysis on periodic basis.

- Maintain the various processes related to our AUMs, SCs, Trade log etc.

- Helping senior management in London to prepare pitches for internal Investment committees, management packs.

- Help with the coordination of regulation related work.

- Gain knowledge of the relevant global financial products and model's developed by Nomura's

- Experience 1yrs to 4yrs

- Qualifications BTech or BSc in Mathematics or economics. MBA would be preferred.

Mind Set:

Mandatory skill set

- Knowledge of finance, and statistics. CFA level I preferred.

- Good written and oral communication skills

- Excellent organizational skills

- Strong Analytical skills

- Enthusiasm for using technology to solve challenging problems.

- Comfortable with large databases / datasets

Desired skill set:

- Knowledge of Bloomberg is preferred.

- Ability to work effectively as part of the team

- Strong work ethics

- Knowledge of VBA and python
