Job Description
At 1K, our objective is to build technology that serves the needs of our customers with utmost satisfaction. To help us in doing so, we are looking for an experienced product manager to own the full lifecycle of product development from conception through release. An ideal candidate should have a keen eye for gaps in consumer product offerings and the innovative mindset to fill them. You should have experience in guiding cross-functional teams in the successful creation of products that improve consumer experience and grow market share.
Objectives of this Role
1. Drive the product development process across cross-functional teams of the company
2. Analyze consumer needs, current market trends, and potential partnerships with build vs. buy perspective
3. Assess current competitor offerings, seeking opportunities for differentiation
4. Analyze product requirements and develop appropriate programs to ensure they are successful achieved
5. Develop, implement, and maintain production timelines across multiple departments
6. Appraise new product ideas and strategize appropriate to-market plans
7. Assess methods to increase adoption of the product in the market and in turn increase revenue
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
1. Drive the execution of all product lifecycle processes for products, including product research, market research, competitive analysis, planning, positioning, roadmap development, requirements development, and product launch
2. Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototype construction and final product development by engineering teams
3. Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI
4. Analyze market data to develop sales strategies, and define product objectives for effective marketing communications plans
5. Collaborate closely with engineering, production, marketing, and sales teams on the development, QA, and release of products and balance of resources to ensure success for the entire organization
6. Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates 1K and its features across primary market segments
Skills and Qualifications
1. Bachelors degree in product design or engineering
2. Strong experience in a product management role in a dynamic environment
3. Proven experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle
4. Highly effective cross-functional team management
5. Previous experience delivering finely tuned product marketing strategies
6. Exceptional writing and editing skills combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills
Preferred Qualifications
1. Masters degree in product design/engineering or MBA (preferred Tier-1 colleges)
2. Previous software and web development experience
3. Proven experience working as a product developer in a non-managerial role
4. Demonstrable knowledge in SEM and online advertising
