Responsibilities:
As an EXIM Manager, you are responsible for evaluating and managing the risks associated with the import and export of goods across borders. This role involves assessing the trade risk, potential financial, regulatory, geopolitical, and operational risks that arise when companies engage in cross-border trade activities.
1. Identify and build a risk framework to mitigate risks associated with cross-border trades
2. Conduct due diligence on overseas exporters, importers, and logistics companies to assess them including operational risks
3. Prepare detailed reports summarizing risk assessments, findings, and recommendations
4. Monitor changes in regulations, geopolitical events, and price fluctuations to identify emerging risks and potential red flags
5. Collaborate with all internal stakeholders to develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cross-border trades
6. Oversee the transportation of goods from international ports to domestic ports, ensure compliance with customs regulations/formalities, and facilitate the successful delivery of goods to their destination

- Graduate/Post Graduate in any field. Preferred: Graduates/Post Graduates from IIFT (Indian Institute of Foreign Trade) or certification in International Trade Finance from IIBF (Indian Institute of Banking & Finance) or Export Import Management from any recognized Institute.
- Must have 6-8 years of experience in International Trade Finance Operations in any Bank or large/mid-sized importer, with a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in identifying the Trade Risk, Commercial Risk, and Operations Risk
- Must have handled end-to-end mid/large corporate imports, including Vetting agreements, contracts, purchase orders, and proforma invoices
- Large ticket imports, preferably Oil imports collection documents / under LCs.
- Opened Import Letters of Credit (LC), Inland LC, checking documents under LCs and Collection Bills (CAD) and Contract for complying with its Terms and Conditions
- Bank Guarantees issuance, invocation and closing.
- Liaison with banks to submit/collect documents including Bill of Lading, Bill of Entry etc.
- Well-versed with regularly used INCOTERMS and knowledge of UCP 600 of ICC is desirable.
- Familiarity with D&B reports and other tools to assess importers and exporters from various angles.
- Knowledge of RBI guidelines pertaining to imports and advance remittances is desirable
- Excellent communication skills, analytical skills, systematic approach, adaptability to a startup environment, proficiency in the latest technology, and a keen interest in learning
