Job Summary:
The incumbent will lead NIIT's strategic growth in Southeast Asia region including China, focusing on expanding the company's portfolio through the acquisition of new accounts, while maintaining and growing key existing partnerships with universities, colleges, and corporate clients. This role requires a deep understanding of Southeast Asian education and corporate training markets, a proven track record in business development, and the ability to build and sustain long-term relationships.
Vital Criteria
- Experience: Minimum 15-20 years of experience in business development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in Southeast Asia, preferably in China.
- Proven Business Development Skills: Proven experience in acquiring new business accounts and expanding existing partnerships in the education or corporate training sectors.
- Account Management: Excellent track record in maintaining and growing key accounts, with a focus on long-term customer relationships.
- Relationship Management: Strong network of relationships with universities, colleges, and corporate clients.
- Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership, team management, and strategic thinking skills.
- Negotiation and Problem-Solving: Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and problem-solving abilities.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English; ability to speak and understand Chinese is an added advantage.
Essential Criteria
- Business Development Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to acquire new business accounts and expand NIIT's presence in the education and corporate sectors.
- University and College Partnerships: Establish and strengthen partnerships with higher education institutions through collaborative programs and academic alliances.
- Corporate Partnerships: Build new relationships with corporate clients to offer NIIT's innovative training solutions and corporate learning programs.
- Market Expansion: Identify and pursue new market opportunities for NIIT's education and corporate offerings, with a focus on strategic partnerships.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor cross-functional teams to ensure effective execution of business development and account management strategies.
- Relationship Management: Build and sustain long-term relationships with key stakeholders in the education and corporate sectors.
Desirable Criteria
- Educational Background: Master's degree in business administration or a related field.
- Experience in Global Organizations: Experience working in global / multinational organization.
- Having travel visas for Southeast Asian countries
