Job Description:

As a Sales and Marketing Head at NIIT your primary responsibility will be to develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans to drive business growth and achieve revenue targets. You will lead a team of sales and marketing professionals, and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of marketing campaigns and sales initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of the EdTech industry, market dynamics, and customer needs.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies: Create comprehensive sales and marketing plans that align with the organization's objectives. Identify target markets, segments, and key customer profiles. Develop pricing strategies, promotional campaigns, and distribution channels to maximize sales and revenue.

2. Lead the sales and marketing team: Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales and marketing team. Set clear goals and objectives, provide guidance and support, and monitor individual and team performance. Foster a collaborative and motivated work environment.

3. Market research and analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and customer needs. Analyze data and insights to drive informed decision-making. Stay updated on industry developments and adjust strategies accordingly.

4. Brand management: Develop and maintain a strong brand image for the organization. Ensure brand consistency across all marketing channels and materials. Monitor and manage the organization's online reputation and presence.

5. Sales and revenue generation: Set sales targets and objectives for the team. Monitor sales performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with sales representatives to develop relationships with key clients, negotiate contracts, and close deals.

6. Marketing communications: Oversee the creation and implementation of marketing campaigns, advertising materials, and digital marketing strategies. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, such as graphic designers, content writers, and media partners, to ensure effective execution.

7. Relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including educational institutions, government bodies, industry associations, and community organizations. Identify partnership opportunities to expand the organization's reach and influence.

8. Budgeting and reporting: Develop and manage the sales and marketing budget. Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), sales metrics, and marketing analytics. Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management.

Qualifications:

- Master's degree in marketing, Sales, business administration, or a related field.

- Proven experience in sales and marketing leadership roles, preferably within the education industry.

- Strong understanding of marketing principles, market research, and digital marketing strategies.

- Excellent leadership and team management skills.

- Ability to develop and execute strategic plans, set and achieve sales targets, and manage budgets.

- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

- Proficiency in using marketing software and tools.

- Knowledge of the education industry, including trends and challenges, is highly desirable.
