Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee the financial operations of the retail business, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and accounting
- Develop and implement financial strategies to maximize profitability and minimize risk
- Analyze financial data and provide insights and recommendations to senior management
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies
- Manage the preparation and submission of financial statements, tax returns, and other financial reports
- Manage cash flow and ensure adequate funding for business operations
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and other stakeholders
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial professionals
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective financial management
- Collaborate with other departments within the business to achieve strategic objectives
- Stay up-to-date with financial trends, regulations, and industry best practices
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA or CMA certification preferred
- At least 5 years of experience in a finance role, preferably in the retail industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office applications
