We are a boutique investment manager that brings a private markets style of investing to the public markets. We invest largely in the small and mid-cap space of the public markets, with a business owner's mindset, a concentrated portfolio, value orientation, and an expectation of holding investments for the long run. (www.newmarkcapital.in) We currently run an AIF for a small number of like-minded domestic investors and are looking to launch a new AIF which will be more broadly targeted, including working with distributors to reach potential domestic investors. We would also like to build relationships with overseas institutional investors over time. What does the job involve? - Working with the distributors to market the new Fund including follow up with prospective investors - Reach out and build relationships with potential investors directly (ie not just through the distributors) - Manage investor onboarding and documentation - Prepare periodic investor communication materials - Answer ongoing questions for investors and be the first port of call for them - Reach out and build relationships with overseas institutional investors - Be the bridge between the investing team and the investors in terms of feedback from investors Use insights gained from investor interactions to feed into subsequent product design. What are we looking for? - An interest in investing and alignment with our style of investing (you can only sell what you believe in and practice!) - A flair for sales and relationship building - Process discipline to manage a sales funnel and proactively follow up on leads - Attention to detail - Experience in institutional sales and/or sales to HNIs/ family offices within sell side brokerages, wealth management firms, MFs, other investment managers - Experience within product teams of investment managers, MFs, wealth managers - A curious and learning mindset - An ability to think about sales/ fund raising in a strategic way - A long-term team player Why is this interesting?
