National Sales head - for a market leader in Sports Nutrition
This role is based out of Mumbai and (candidates preferred from Mumbai please)
- Help shape and implement strong year sales strategy that will ensure ongoing growth for the company
- Meticulously worked in and designed RTM solutions for FMCG, Personal Care, Packages Foods or similar industries.
- Significant experience in new product launch
- Research, analyze and provide strategic advice to clarify, plan and monitor the growth, revenues and market share.
- Applies financial rigor and acumen to all initiatives that lead executive and inform businesses to shareholder value based decisions
- Establish budgets and targets for assigned area of responsibility and drive them.
- Develop a talent management plan that supports the strategic and future needs of the business and drives performance
- Thorough understanding of Channel, Segment, Category and Customer.
Key deliverables of the role:
- 10+ years experience leading high performance sales teams
- A world-class sales leader with experience in setting up new sales channels online and offline
- Conceptualized and deployed various ATL / BTL activities
- Clear understanding and responsibility of P&L
- Architect best-in-class Route To Market strategies to ensure no.1 or 2 positions for each of our brands in the respective categories/ channels
- To develop the National RTM Plan both in short term and long term and lead processes to assess and develop the organization capability to deliver the Plan.
- Develop consistent policies and processes across the territories that enable delivery of efficient national distribution systems.
- Proactively develop activation and growth plans for the emerging modern retail and eCommerce channels.
- Decide, recommend and adjust various operational strategies based on market learnings to refine best practices to meet market needs.
- Highlight and mitigate areas of non-performance and potential project gaps while prioritizing those needing action and escalation to prevent delays in execution.
- Use market research and advertising plans optimally to ensure that RTM is through the best cost effective plans with no compromise on efficiency or output.
- Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills with in depth understanding of sales levers, metrics, performance standards and sales methodology
- Experience managing multiple product lines and specific experience leading in a highly fast-paced organization
Education: MBA or Masters in related field
