- Ability to resolve 2nd & 3rd level Network infrastructure support calls
- Experience in supporting LANs, WANs, Firewalls and Internet Infrastructure
- Understanding of fundamental concepts in Network Infrastructure, Internet and Firewalls
- Ability to administer, configure, manage and troubleshoot network infrastructure equipment including Cisco, switches, routers, and Checkpoint Firewalls.
- Familiarity with the support, configuration and monitoring of a large Wide Area Network
- Experience of router configuration and routing protocols
- Ability to administer internet access control applications, eg; websense
- Excellent problem solving and planning skills, a flexible approach with good verbal and written English communication skills
- Quick Learner
- Experience of documenting systems
- Ability to take a structured, methodical, disciplined approach to procedures
- Understanding of ITIL standards.
