About Role:
The role of Category Manager requires strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of ecommerce product management for the footwear category in the D2C space. The position is responsible for analyzing large data sets to identify trends, draw insights and develop recommendations for key partners. The Category Manager will serve as an expert on product performance and customer experience related to the area of ownership.
What you will do here
- Responsible for maximizing the sales and profit of the category and achieving sales budgets while remaining competitive in the marketplace
- Management of topline and bottomline (P&L), product returns and inventory mix
- Driving category growth and market share with strong product/consumer analytics
- Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to sync brand-wide strategies by utilizing the most productive content and exposing the highest conversion drivers.
- Strategically plan product collections, pages, content updates and featured shops based on inventory needs
- Drives Business growth, and Market Share of the Specific Category with a strong bend towards product, competition & consumer analytics
- Monitoring product lifecycle of every product in the category and take early calls for opportunity maximization
- Analyzing daily, weekly, monthly sales data to understand sales promoters and proactively take actions to achieve defined targets
- Planning and developing the product range and finalizing the pricing strategy for products
- Accurately forecasting trends, planning stock and monitoring performance
What you must have
- 8+ years' experience of working as a category manager for the footwear category
- Experience in building and scaling brands on Amazon, Myntra , Ajio.
- Solid knowledge of category management, marketing and sales principles
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and report with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office
