Job Purpose The Business Development Manager for the Testing & Certification division is responsible for expanding NCML's client base and revenue in designated regions across India. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and implementing growth strategies to establish NCML as a trusted provider of food testing and certification services. The Business Development Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams and support regional goals. Key Responsibilities - Business Strategy: Contribute to the development and execution of NCML's business strategy for Testing & Certification. Identify target markets, analyze competition, and support market entry plans. - Sales and Client Acquisition: Drive new client acquisition efforts, secure contracts, and build relationships with potential and existing clients to grow revenue and market share in assigned regions. - Revenue Tracking and Reporting: Monitor revenue performance, analyze trends, and regularly report on progress against targets to regional leadership. - Marketing Support: Collaborate with marketing to develop promotional materials and campaigns that highlight NCML's expertise in Testing & Certification. - Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the main point of contact and ensuring customer satisfaction. Address client concerns promptly and effectively. - Market Analysis: Stay informed of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in food testing to support business growth and competitiveness. - Pricing and Proposals: Assist in developing pricing strategies and preparing proposals that align with client needs and NCML's service offerings. - Contract Negotiation: Support contract negotiations to secure favorable terms that contribute to NCML's growth objectives. - Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and certifications relevant to Testing & Certification in designated areas. Required Skills and Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Biotechnology, Business Administration, or a related field. - Experience: Minimum of 5 years in business development, sales, or commercial roles within the food testing or related sectors. - Sales Skills: Proven experience in driving sales growth and managing client relationships. - Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with clients and teams. - Client-Centric Approach: Commitment to understanding client needs and delivering excellent service. - Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to market changes and business priorities across various regions. - This role is essential for expanding NCML's footprint in food testing and certification, fostering strong client partnerships, and achieving regional growth targets.
