The Business Development - Corporate role for NCML is pivotal in driving strategic growth within the corporate segment of the commodities management sector. This leader will be responsible for identifying, developing, and executing strategies that enhance NCML's market positioning, drive revenue growth, and create lasting client partnerships. The individual will focus on expanding NCML's client portfolio, overseeing business development initiatives, and ensuring seamless collaboration with internal teams to achieve business targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development Strategy: Formulate and execute a comprehensive business development strategy that aligns with NCML's corporate objectives. This includes conducting market analysis, identifying growth opportunities, and developing initiatives to maximize profitability and client engagement.
- Client Acquisition and Relationship Management: Lead efforts to identify, engage, and onboard new corporate clients. Build and sustain long-term relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and suppliers to enhance NCML's footprint in the industry.
- Sales Leadership: Guide the business development team to achieve sales targets by exploring new market opportunities and leveraging existing networks. Ensure a robust pipeline of potential clients and maintain a strong focus on business acquisition.
- Contract and Pricing Strategy: Develop competitive pricing models and negotiate contracts with clients to secure profitable terms. Regularly assess market trends and adjust pricing strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Market and Revenue Analysis: Utilize data analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the impact of business initiatives and optimize revenue streams. Implement measures to enhance the profitability of NCML's service offerings.
- Risk and Compliance Management: Ensure all business development activities adhere to regulatory requirements and company policies. Mitigate potential risks through proactive risk management strategies.
- Team Leadership and Development: Build and mentor a high-performing business development team, fostering a collaborative environment that supports professional growth and continuous improvement.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations, finance, and marketing teams to ensure alignment and seamless coordination of business development efforts, enabling successful business outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications :
- Education: Master's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA with a focus on Sales and Marketing is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 8+ years in a leadership role focused on business development, sales, or corporate strategy, ideally within the warehousing, logistics, or commodity management industry.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the commodities, warehousing, and supply chain sectors, with insight into industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive practices.
- Sales and Negotiation Skills: Proven track record in driving business growth, closing deals, and effective negotiation. Excellent interpersonal skills for client and stakeholder relationship management.
- Financial and Analytical Acumen: Ability to interpret financial data, develop budgets, and make data-driven decisions that align with organizational goals.
- Strategic and Analytical Thinking: Strong strategic vision and problem-solving skills with the ability to make informed decisions that drive business success.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Adaptability: Capable of navigating a dynamic environment and adjusting to evolving business priorities.
