Senior Cybersecurity Engineer
As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, you will play a critical role in protecting our organization's information assets by designing, implementing, and managing robust cybersecurity solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our IT systems and data, and stay up-to-date with the latest threats and technologies to continuously improve our cybersecurity posture.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, implementation, and management of cybersecurity solutions to protect our organization's IT systems, networks, applications, and data from potential cyber threats.
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability assessments to identify and address potential security risks and vulnerabilities in our IT infrastructure and systems.
- Develop and implement cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
- Monitor and analyze security events and incidents to detect and respond to cybersecurity threats in a timely manner, and implement incident response plans to minimize impact and prevent future incidents.
- Conduct security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and regulations, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT operations, development, and business units, to integrate cybersecurity measures into the design, development, and operation of IT systems and applications.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on cybersecurity technologies, tools, and best practices, and mentor junior cybersecurity team members.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies in the cybersecurity field, and proactively identify and implement measures to mitigate emerging threats.
- Conduct cybersecurity awareness training and education programs for employees, contractors, and partners to promote cybersecurity awareness and best practices throughout the organization.
Desired Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on designing, implementing, and managing cybersecurity solutions.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, standards, and regulations, such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, and GDPR.
- Experience in conducting risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and security audits, and implementing security controls to mitigate identified risks and vulnerabilities.
- Proficiency in using cybersecurity tools, technologies, and frameworks, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint protection, SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and threat intelligence platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, operating systems, databases, and cloud computing platforms, and their associated security risks and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex cybersecurity issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications, such as CISSP, CISM are strongly preferred.
