Job Title - National Sales Manager
Location - Parel, Mumbai
Reporting To - CEO
Team Managed - 130 out of which 5 direct reportees, 100 FOS and 30 Field Managers
Main role - Responsible to ensure the management of Sales activities on an all India basis. S/he will ensure the execution of overall sales of products, and ensure to promote, develop, and expand the business to new territories including North and East India, while saturating the existing markets with an objective to achieve the budgeted targets of the company.
Brief Job description:
- Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base on a National level.
- Direct the Sales Team and establish Sales Targets Brand Wise Pack Wise, Region wise as per Annual National Business Plan
- Support in identifying and suggesting the promotion and subsequent sales of new products/variants will also be a part of the role.
- To establish coverage, Distribution, and Display objectives in line with Business Plan and achieve turnover targets, profit targets, and market share targets.
- Strategy and execution of developing new channels for sales and distributors / dealers.
- Ensure robust supply chain systems.
- System set up to assess the performance, and make all out efforts in motivating the team to achieve the targets.
- Have a Clear focus on Traditional/modern Channels to build Visibility and sales volumes.
- Establish Travel and Market Contacts Plan for Self, Direct reports, and the entire Sales Team.
- Have Periodic revisions on the Progress of Business, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, yearly. Regularly update the Management and the marketing team on sales trends, market developments and competition with appropriate MIS
- On a quarterly basis do the SWOT analysis of sales performance at PAN India Level.
- Statutory compliance / Internal audits, sales administration.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- An out of the box thinker, a good Leader and team player, eye for detail, dynamic, self-motivated, positive work attitude and business ethics.
- Experience 12-15 Years of which minimum 5+ years in nutraceutical /ethical pharma company
Age 35-45 years, entrepreneurial and risk taking, demonstrated ability to build the business, willing to travel extensively, knowledge of markets on an all India basis, process driven, start up mentality.
- Experience in therapy areas of Gynac, Women's health, Ortho, consulting physicians and Ophthal is highly desirable.
Qualification : MBA
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from planning to closure.
- Should possess deep understanding of pharma/ nutraceuticals sales and operations.
- Should possess a distinctive track record of managing and growing a business.
- Should have a notifiable experience in managing a P&L with responsibilities for Sales & Operations and developing a strong distribution channel.
- Should have been exposed to best practices in distribution management, channel creation, inventory control measures, product innovation and quality enhancement projects.
