We are hiring for a new edge company into FMCG business.
It's a Mumbai, HQ based role for General Trade (Channel Sales).
It's a large people management role and this position reports into Sales Director who intern reports into CEO / Cofounder.
Working experience into South Territory is a Must
Candidate Must have worked as ASM or ZSM in any of the states of South - Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh or Kerala.
Candidate with NON-South territory working exposure would not be qualified to call for the interview.

Job Profile
As a National Sales Manager (NSM), you will be responsible for driving sales, overseeing collections, acquiring new customers, developing markets, and managing stock within your designated region. You will play a crucial role in achieving revenue targets, expanding our customer base, and ensuring the efficient distribution of products. The position requires strong leadership skills, excellent sales acumen, and a strategic approach to market development.
- Lead the general trade sales teams in translating strategy into sales business plans and go-to-market strategy within budgeted costs.
- Prepare and maintain annual sales & distribution plans to deliver budgeted revenue, Profit and Brand equity targets for the year based on category and channel.
- Enhance market penetration by setting up and managing the General trade distribution.
- Distributor and Retailer Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and other key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with our brand values and objectives.
- Market Expansion: Identify new market opportunities, channels, and potential partners within the general trade sector to increase brand presence and sales.
- Monitor sales performance, analyze trends, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue and market share goals within the general trade segment.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve or exceed sales targets within the assigned region.
- Collaborate with distributors to strengthen relationships and drive business growth.
- Develop market entry strategies for new product launches or expansion into new territories.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive sales experience in the FMCG industry, with a focus on the general trade segment.
- Minimum 3 years working experience in any of the territories of the South Region.
- Proven track record of successfully leading sales teams and achieving revenue targets.
- Strong knowledge of the general trade distribution channels, including distributors, wholesalers, and retailers.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with a passion for the cosmetic industry
