National Sales Manager
Reporting Relationship: - Report directly to the Country Manager of India
Lateral Relationship:
Internal:
- Work closely with Regional Management team in Hong Kong which include but not limited to Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Marketing, Product Development, Operations, Project, IT, Compliance, Credit and Risks
External: Maintain and develop close relationships with regulators and strategic business partners
Designated Region: Whole India and based in Mumbai
Job Objective:
- Responsible for the overall planning, control and direction of sales activities for GP India with the aim of meeting or exceeding sales targets in addition to achieving corporate profitability and productivity objectives.
Key Accountabilities
- Work with the senior management to develop and execute short and long term business plans
- Formulate and implement sales and business development strategies and programs for GP India to meet these objectives
- Review reports of sales activities and results, analyze breakdowns by region, product categories, major accounts etc to identify profit/loss making areas and subsequently to alert the sales teams to undertake remedial measures
- Ensure continual business growth and maintain close business relationship with key strategic merchants
- Identify new potential merchants and nurture such relationships, broaden GP India’s sales network and penetrate into new markets/sectors
- Manage and provide both technical support and training to merchants for sustainable long term relationships
- Constantly review business terms and conditions with existing and new merchants in order to ensure a fair and equitable treatment
Experience/Knowledge
- Degree holder with strong leadership to positively direct and motivate a large team of sales team
- Over 10 years of experience in hard core sales gained in the financial services or credit acquiring industry with a track record in achieving aggressive sales targets
- A strategic thinker with an ability to build a concrete roadmap for meeting long, medium and short term business objectives
- Entrepreneurial with a can-do attitude that thrives in a challenging environment
- Independent but yet a proactive team player, organized, detailed and meticulous
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with fluency in English and Hindi
