Experience:
- 20+ years experience in a relevant senior sales position, preferably in the FMCG & foods sector
- Experience of managing zone with high sales target in a FMCG segment preferred in biscuits and bakery market
Strong experience in pan-India sales esp in alt channels (MT, Institutional, e-commerce)
Responsibilities:
- Lead the sales team function to drive sales across multiple channels (GT, MT, institutional, e-comm) across the country.
- Encompass overall accountability of company's sales turnover and net realization target by effective sales policies, distribution policies for across the country
- Development of annual sales plan to presented to the company leadership highlighting key strategies, tactics and resources needed to achieve systemic goals and company growth
- Understand and utilize syndicated data on monthly/quarterly basis to identify sales opportunities and develop sales presentations to generate sales volume and workout the sales growth plan
- Lead expansion into new sales channels such as institutional, e-comm, geographies, management of vendors and onboarding of new key accounts
- Provide leadership, direction and strategic guidance to zonal sales team to ensure timely sales target completion.
- Conduct monthly zonal reviews to identify lagging geographies and strategize with zonal heads to ensure completion of targets.
- Work with channels heads in especially fostering new channels such as MT, institutional sales and e-commerce to expand sales.
- Define key responsibilities, KPIs and provide regular feedback to zonal heads to ensure improved performance
- Ensure training of salesforce to build expertise in channel-led sales individually for GT, MT, Institutional and e-commerce sales
