Job purpose & Scope:
- To achieve overall sales and contribution targets
- Prepare sales plan for the BU for the next 3 years
- Drive flawless execution of sales plans, merchandising & trade marketing programs and activities through sales teams
- Drive organization strategic business agenda
- Ensure timely listing of new products with the canteens
- Execute sales operations & build a highly capable & competent sales team
Major Areas of Responsibilities
1. Achieve sales & collection targets :
- To achieve leadership in all product categories.
- To achieve more than budgeted sales, collection and contribution target.
- Monitor outstanding & Inventory on regular basis to ensure that working capital deployed is within the norms.
- To maintain and nurture good business relations with canteens.
2. Forecasting & Planning :
- Plan & implement strategies to gain market share in CSD canteens.
- Interact with all BUs to strategies appropriate/ timely actions.
- To prepare the budget for CSD.
- To prepare sales & procurement plan for CSD business.
- Improve CEI of the team.
- Focus on weak canteens/ depots and make strategies to gain share.
- To formulate depot wise strategy to increase market share.
- To prepare the plan for Marketing, Collections & CPC (Central police canteens) business.
3. Sales Administration:
- To monitor performance of SKUs & take corrective actions for improvement.
- To negotiate & finalize discounts & prices with BUs and CSD HO.
- Regular visits to CSD depots, RM offices and canteens with BU heads.
- To ensure price revisions & new product introductions for better profitability.
- Finalize tour plans for the team and conduct quarterly review meets.
4. People Management
- To motivate and guide the team to ensure best output from them.
- To provide feedback to team from time to time about their performance, areas of strength and improvement.
5. Competitor Analysis:
- Analyze the internal & Competitors data & provide suggestions to BU Heads.
- To provide market information and feedback on competitor schemes & offerings to the BUs.
- Collect data from market about market share, industry growth and competitor's activities and share with the BUs.
6. Branding & Promotion
- Build the Company Brand in canteens & coordinate with the advertising team for promotional requirements.
- Identify the appropriate channels of marketing communication, and ensure optimal placement of products.
7. Monitor supply chain activities and take corrective steps for improvement in order to avoid penalty and loss of sales opportunities.
8. To participate in CAN PART meets & other meetings with CSD HO.
9. To coordinate with HR for recruitment & training needs.
