National Manager - ESG - BFSI - IIT/NIT/BITS/IIM/ISB/MDI/FMS

Job Summary:

As the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Head, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the company's ESG strategy, policies, and initiatives. You will play a key role in integrating ESG considerations into the company's business operations, guiding the organization towards sustainable and responsible practices. You will collaborate with various departments, including finance, operations, legal, and communications, to ensure that ESG goals are aligned with the company's overall strategy and objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of ESG principles, regulations, and best practices, as well as strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement the company's ESG strategy, policies, and initiatives to drive sustainability and responsible business practices.

2. Provide guidance and oversight on ESG issues, including environmental management, social responsibility, and governance practices.

3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ESG considerations into business operations, including supply chain management, product development, and corporate reporting.

4. Stay updated on ESG regulations, reporting frameworks, and best practices, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards.

5. Conduct ESG risk assessments, identify areas of improvement, and develop action plans to address identified gaps.

6. Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, customers, and NGOs, to communicate the company's ESG performance and initiatives.

7. Monitor and report on the company's ESG performance, including data collection, analysis, and reporting to internal and external stakeholders.

8. Develop and implement employee training and awareness programs on ESG topics to promote a culture of sustainability and responsible business practices.

9. Stay informed about emerging ESG trends, technologies, and innovations, and provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership on new opportunities and risks.

10. Collaborate with industry associations, sustainability networks, and other external organizations to stay updated on ESG best practices and benchmark the company's performance against industry peers.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's and Master degree from a premier college in sustainability, ESG, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.

2. Minimum of 8-15 years of experience in ESG or sustainability-related roles, preferably in a corporate setting.

3. Strong knowledge of ESG principles, regulations, reporting frameworks, and best practices,

4. Proven track record of developing and implementing ESG strategies and initiatives that drive positive outcomes for the organization and stakeholders.

5. Excellent analytical skills to assess ESG risks and opportunities, and develop data-driven action plans.

6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ESG concepts to diverse audiences, including senior leadership, employees, investors, and other stakeholders.

7. Collaborative and strategic mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

8. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

9. Strong ethical values and commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices.

10. Professional certifications in ESG, sustainability, or related fields preferred.
