Business Overview : Olympus Medical Systems India has a wide portfolio of products that are equipped with the latest innovative and superior technology. Olympus deals primarily in three verticals i.e. Gastrointestinal, Respiration & Surgical divisions and contribute to the medical society with state of the art product categories that includes, Video Endoscopy, Endoscopic Ultrasound, Bronchoscopy, Endotherapy devices in Gastrointestinal & Respiratory range whereas Surgical division includes High definition imaging system and Energy products to deal with Laparoscopy, General Surgery, Gynaecology and Urology field.
Role Overview :
- Seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as the National Manager for Consumables. In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the activities related to consumables across our national operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in channel sales management, supply chain optimization, key account management, institutional business and a deep understanding of consumables within the Medical device domain.
- This role demands high collaborative ability to interact with various stakeholders within and outside the organization: Reporting Sales Team, Marketing Team, Business Operations team, Supply Chain team, Regulatory affairs team, Dealers, end users - that include practicing Drs. and technicians.
- The person should have an inherent ability to inspire team for high benchmarks on business performance indicators and yet conduct the business in compliant manner adhering to local compliance standards. Instilling culture of collaboration with other business units and innovative in offering solutions to team or urging team to take tough decisions.
Illustrative Responsibilities :
- Strategic Planning -Develop and implement a comprehensive national strategy for consumables that aligns with organizational goal along with analyzing market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities and threats.
- Supply Chain Management: Oversee the end-to-end supply chain for consumables, including procurement, logistics, and distribution and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a seamless supply chain process
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and agreements and evaluate and onboard new vendors, ensuring quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Budget and Cost Control: Develop and manage budgets for consumables, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency and implement cost control measures and identify areas for potential savings
- Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure the delivery of high-quality consumables to customers and collaborate with relevant teams to address and resolve any quality issues.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the team of consumables professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture and Provide guidance and support to ensure the team meets organizational objectives.
Minimum requirements Qualification & Experience
Educational & Total Experience : Science Graduate with added Management graduation will be preferable - 15-20 yrs experience with at least 5 yrs plus on Team handling role.
