As the National Quality Check Head (Appliances), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our diverse range of appliances meet the highest quality standards, aligning with customer expectations, and complying with safety regulations. Your expertise in understanding appliance technologies, manufacturing processes, and establishing rigorous quality checks will be crucial in maintaining superior product quality.
What you will do:
Appliance Technology Expertise: Utilizing comprehensive knowledge of appliance technologies, functionalities, and manufacturing processes to develop and refine specialized quality check procedures and standards tailored specifically to appliances
Parameter Definition: Establishing clear parameters and benchmarks for different types of appliances, considering technological aspects, functionalities, durability, and safety standards, ensuring consistency and excellence across all products
SOP Development: Formulating detailed and comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for quality checks, encompassing various stages of appliance production, assembly, and post-production handling
Leadership in Inspection Processes: Leading and overseeing a team of quality inspectors and coordinators across multiple locations, guiding them in conducting meticulous and systematic inspections of appliances prior to dispatch or delivery to customers
Performance Evaluation and Enhancement: Establishing robust quality control metrics, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and assessment methodologies to continuously monitor and enhance the effectiveness of the appliance quality check process
Collaborative Problem-Solving: Collaborating closely with the procurement team to communicate identified quality issues, propose improvements in product specifications, and collaborating on sourcing strategies to enhance overall appliance inventory quality
Compliance and Audits: Conducting routine audits and inspections of warehouses, suppliers, and third-party vendors, ensuring strict adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and alignment with established SOPs
Reporting and Recommendations: Generating comprehensive reports and detailed analyses based on quality check findings, identifying trends, and providing actionable recommendations to senior management for continuous improvement
Training and Development: Developing and executing training programs to educate and empower staff involved in the quality check process, enhancing their knowledge and understanding of established quality standards and SOPs
Component Knowledge: In-depth understanding of appliance components, availability, and costing
Supply Chain Analysis: Assessing supply chains to ensure quality component sourcing and cost optimization
Vendor Relationship Management: Fostering strong partnerships for reliable component supply
Continuous Improvement: Driving enhancements in design and sourcing strategies based on quality insights
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Aligning quality checks with technological advancements and product development
Cost-Benefit Analysis: Evaluating proposals for quality enhancements, considering cost and impact
What you need to have:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a masters degree is advantageous
- Extensive experience 5 to 8 years in quality control/assurance within the appliance industry
- In-depth knowledge of appliance technologies, manufacturing processes, and industry-specific quality standards.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills with a proven ability to effectively lead teams
- Analytical mindset with the capability to interpret data, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategic solutions
- Excellent communication skills enabling effective collaboration across diverse cross-functional teams
- Meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to upholding and improving high-quality standards throughout the appliance inventory
