Job Title : National Lead - Pre Acquisition

Job Overview:
This job role will require the incumbent to lead the Pre acquisition vertical for Fraud Risk function of the company to develop and implement robust fraud risk framework across organisation ensuring alignment with overall risk management and corporate strategies by leveraging on advanced analytics and data-driven insights to optimize risk-adjusted returns and drive business success. The role also requires ensuring compliance with regulatory requirement and industry's best practices.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Implement fraud risk framework, strategy and policy and its initiatives
- Devise an approach focusing on proactive fraud prevention mechanism
- Provide strategic intelligence to Fraud Analytics and detection team to enhance performance.
- Develop training programs to educate employees on fraud risk and promote a culture of fraud awareness within the organization.
- Monitor key fraud risk indicators and align strategies as needed
- Partner with key stakeholders for alignment of framework to drive defined outcome
- Work with the other control functions to strengthen the control framework
- Service Delivery Levels (TAT) on all activities to be maintained at stipulated levels
- Liaise and work with industry peers and law enforcement agencies, professionals and organizations with subject expertise to collate and share intelligence as appropriate
- Conduct fraud risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation plans to address identified risks
- Ensure diligence using fraud prevention tool to initiate and monitor investigation basis observations from the tool.
- Ensure effective use of data analytics and technology to detect fraudulent activities: Data Management, Dynamic Review, pattern study and an analytical and actionable view with past, present and future trends.
- Publish & manage of reports, business letters and data analysis
Regulatory & Business Conduct:
- Strengthen Fraud Risk framework through continuous evaluation of key risks and suitability of existing control and testing.
- Effective management around prevention, response/mitigation, governance, reporting and awareness.
- Ensuring integrity of regulatory, bureau and any other reporting Continuously assess Fraud Risks, identify policy and process improvements to remediate the same
- Ensuring all risk documents are as per branding guidelines.
- Proactively review and identify gaps on polices and implemented processes to ensure timely escalation of issues with comprehensive solutions. Address and provide timely and effective solution on breaches or exceptions highlighted by Quality Assurance, Internal Audit, Regulatory Reviews or other reviews.
- Ensuring that policies and process standards and program documents are approved within the timelines.
- Regularly update MAD (Management Awareness Document).
- Timely compliance and delivery of regulatory directives
- Ensure effective management of Enterprise Risks pertaining to the Risk deliverables and also compliance with applicable internal policies and external laws & regulations.
- Effective audit engagement so as to ensure process adherence and compliance to audit requirements, response in a timely manner and addressing gaps, if any.
- Design and implementation of an effective and resilient information security strategy to support a fit for purpose and best in class collection workflow.
- Display exemplary conduct and live by the Code of Conduct.
- Work closely with Internal audit team and external auditors to support audit work and ensure timely responses.
- Maintain an open and cooperative relationship in dealings with the regulators.
- Delivering on the risk technology initiatives and CEO projects on a timely manner.
People / Team :
- Assemble a team comprising of people with relevant experience and aptitude meticulously tailored to the role requirements.
- Lead, guide and support a dedicated team of collection team ensuring effective performance management and strong corporate governance
- Managing key stakeholders, seeking early sponsorships to drive effective outcomes.
- Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reportees and provide feedback and rewards in line with their performances against their responsibilities and objectives.
- Developing a resilient organization, strong succession planning, upskilling and provide professional development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills, knowledge and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Risk, Fraud, Sales) as well as central teams.
- Ensure that attrition is kept to the minimum and within acceptable thresholds.
- Lead by example to build appropriate culture and values within the Risk function and across the wider expanse of the organization. Set appropriate tone and work expectations in collaboration with risk and control partners. Uphold and reinforce the independence of the Risk function from those whose primary responsibility is to maximize short term revenues and profits.
Experience Required (In Years)
10+ year of experience in fraud management,Deep understanding of fraud risk. Understanding of Financial institutions products and systems
Qualification: Required MBA / CA / Postgraduate
