The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with key retail partners, driving sales growth, and ensuring overall customer satisfaction. The role involves strategic planning, effective communication, and collaboration with internal teams to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts in the modern trade sector. Understand the unique needs and requirements of each key account and tailor strategies accordingly. Regularly assess account performance and implement strategies to maximize sales and profitability.
- Sales Strategy: Formulate and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market share goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, finance, marketing and product development, to align strategies with overall company objectives. Identify new business opportunities and areas for growth within existing key accounts.
- Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate terms and agreements with key accounts to ensure mutually beneficial partnerships. Manage and review contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities. Conduct regular market analysis to identify opportunities and threats, and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Forecasting and Reporting: Develop accurate sales forecasts and regularly update management on sales performance against targets. Prepare and present comprehensive reports on key account activities, market trends, and competitor insights.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination. Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional strategies and campaigns that align with key account objectives.
- Customer Service and Issue Resolution: Address and resolve customer issues promptly, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts and facilitate effective communication between the customer and internal teams.
Education & Skills Required:
- Bachelor's/PG degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Key Account Manager in the Retail industry, with a focus on Modern Trade.
- Strong understanding of modern trade channels, market dynamics, and retail trends.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans to drive sales growth.
