National Head - Sales (General Trade/ Retail/ Distribution) - FMCG (Non food) - Mumbai
Job Description:
- Need candidates who have exposure to the national market (general trade/retail & distribution)
- Focus on retail expansion and distribution expansion.
- Set, achieve and monitor key performance targets for sales.
- Develop and coordinate company's sales function & all sales related activities.
- Provide leadership and vision by developing the long range and annual plans. Formulate and execute company's strategic plan as per short term and long term Goals. the role holder will also be responsible for perfect execution of the Marketing strategy (involving Pricing, Promotion & Schemes), and from that perspective knowledge of marketing is expected.
- Identify, create, and develop new market opportunities.
- Timely update on present Market & competitor's activities and provides market feed-back on new products, prices changes, new launches, etc. to the top management.
- Ensure timely collection of company's money from the market.
- He should have basic commercial sense which is more important to control outstanding and inventory etc. and also to see that products are sold with the product wise margins as prescribed by the management and avoid unnecessary discounts.
- Minimizes sales returns/damaged goods and short expiry goods by monitoring returns, developing a depletion plan and avoiding overstocking at the points of sales.
- To put in place cost control mechanisms for trade promotions and ensure judicious utilization of marketing budgets.
- Should possess good knowledge of advertisement and sales promotion and help in formulating schemes for different products from time to time.
Age Bar - up to 47yrs not above that
Qualification - MBA Qualified
Industry - need candidates from FMCG (non-food category)/FMCD/Stationery/ office products/ white goods/ consumer durable etc
Attributes:
- Should have worked in FMCG (Non-food category)and have key insights into Retail working.
- Must have worked in different geographies and must have an understanding of different markets at a Regional level.
- Should have good interpersonal skills.
- Should have command over numbers.
- Should be good at data interpretation.
