National Sales Manager( Modern Trade)  Job Role :  - Head and manage the overall sales strategy and policy in the various channels and in terms of major customers by grasping target or category opportunities in line with Annual Business Plan (ABP).  - Creating market for our products and feeding those channels on a timely basis.  - Develop and maintain an efficient distribution network to ensure the comprehensive availability of company's products and services across the region to achieve or exceed the sales targets  - To direct the Sales team and establish sales targets brand wise, pack wise as per ABP, help them in breaking the same geographically, monthly, weekly & daily targets.  - To motivate & direct Sales team to establish coverage, distribution and display objectives to meet sales targets.  - Establish and ensure that all sales administration procedures relating to the region are properly implemented to support the sales teams in their efforts to accomplish the sales targets  - To plan and implement local sales promotion in consultation with marketing.  - To analyse stock movement/availability & share market insights for pricing.  - To set up distributor and dealer network across cities at Zonal level.  - Help business head in developing long term pricing strategy to maximize variable margin through product/ territory/ pack mix decisions.  - Have a clear focus on new channels like Institutions and Modern Trade to build.  - Will focus on A+ customers in the stand-alone, Modern retail outlets.  - Business plan & sales strategy development for all modern trade chains.  - Co-ordinate and follow up with logistics and supply chain to ensure that adequate inventory stock of product is maintained for the business in order to meet the sales delivery schedules and provide the distributors with superior levels of service and meet the needs of the customer  - Liaise with the Marketing team to ensure that adequate marketing support by way of merchandising and promotions is available in the region in order to provide brand visibility and promote sales in the region.  - Lead development of all players in the Sales Organization(Leads training, development, coaching for his sales team).  Monitor Competitive Activity - Monitor and evaluate competitor activity in the market and make appropriate recommendations/customer strategy as required.   Skills & Requirements :  Skills :  - Strives For Excellence:  - Demonstrate initiative, be proactive  - Be tenacious  - Challenge those around you to do better  - Strong Multi-tasker:  - Good at prioritising and calm under pressure  - Self starter comfortable with working independently  - Natural problem solver  - Organised  - Confident Communicator  - Strong presentation skills  - Able to put forward clear arguments  - Creative & Strategic:  - Bring fresh ideas  - Focused on continuous improvement  - A firm eye on the bigger picture  - Able and willing to travel   - Strong personal values and a passion for quality, natural, organic foods.  Experience and Education :   - Graduate or MBA  - 10+ yrs of experience in Modern Trade Sales and Marketing of premium food /food/FMCG products  - Should have good experience in man management.  - Strong connects and relationships with dealers, distributors and retailers across Modern Trade market.
