Job Overview:
- The National Head of Collections will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the collection processes for unsecured loans across the entire zone.
- This leadership role requires a strategic mindset and hands-on management to reduce Non-Performing Assets (NPA) and enhance the efficiency of the collections team.
- The role involves close coordination with state heads and their teams to ensure that targets are met while adhering to regulatory and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain Bucket Balances and Reduce NPA:
- Develop and implement strategies to effectively manage and reduce bucket balances, including early-stage delinquencies and arrears.
- Monitor and analyze portfolio performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Create action plans to minimize Non-Performing Assets (NPA) and ensure timely recovery of outstanding amounts.
Manage Entire Zone for Unsecured Collections:
- Oversee the collections operations across the designated zone, ensuring that all processes are streamlined and optimized.
- Coordinate with regional teams to ensure consistent application of policies and procedures across different states.
- Set performance benchmarks and monitor progress to ensure targets are met.
Collaborate with State Heads & Teams:
- Work closely with State Heads to align collection strategies with regional needs and objectives.
- Facilitate regular meetings with state teams to review performance, address challenges, and share best practices.
- Provide guidance and support to state teams to enhance their effectiveness and achieve collection targets.
Apply Effective Tools and Techniques for Recovery:
- Identify and implement advanced tools, technologies, and methodologies to improve recovery rates and reduce losses.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of current recovery practices and recommend enhancements as needed.
- Ensure that the collections team is equipped with the necessary tools and training to maximize their efficiency.
Manage Data Requirements and Inputs:
- Oversee the collection, management, and analysis of data relevant to collections, including customer information, payment histories, and recovery metrics.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity for use in analytics, legal proceedings, and other necessary inputs.
- Collaborate with analytics teams to generate insights and reports that drive informed decision-making.
Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:
- Ensure all collection activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures that adhere to industry standards and company guidelines.
- Stay updated on changes in regulations and adjust practices as needed to maintain compliance.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and present regular reports on collections performance, NPA status, and recovery efforts to senior management.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of collection activities, processes, and outcomes.
- Provide detailed insights and recommendations based on data analysis and performance reviews.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
Experience: At least [X] years of experience in collections management, with a proven track record of reducing NPAs and managing large teams.
