Position - National Sales Head
Company - Food Tech
Location - Bangalore
Work Exp - 10+ years exp. In sales or business development pan India from Saas/ Paas technology industry.
You will:
- Develop the long-term vision and strategy for the India Enterprise segment and prepare the staffing plan.
- Recruit, develop and lead a team of BDMs that understand the sales process and are great at building customer relationships.
- Assume shared responsibility with the on-boarding team to ensure a smooth go-live experience for customers.
- Manage day-to-day operations using CRM tools (Salesforce), with a focus on performance against key sales metrics.
- Engage all stakeholders in the customer ecosystem and the key decision makers by visiting them in person or engaging them over calls to get them to demo our product offering and convert into paying customers.
- Coach and guide the team in developing consultative and solution-based sales skills through all facets of the sales cycle.
- Play a personal and direct role in building and maintaining enduring customer relationships, up to the C-level.
- Inspire, motivate and enable personal and career development of team members, both to promote career growth and to increase impact for the company.
- Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with product, sales engineering, marketing and customer success teams in the organization to help shape company's products and solutions to meet customer needs.
- Participate in industry events to help drive market awareness & win over advocates.
- Own India Enterprise revenue goals and manage against aggressive sales targets.
- Collaborate closely with Sales / Revenue Operations to consistently improve the sales process through standardization and best practice adoption.
We are looking for someone who has/is:
- 10+ years of experience in Sales and in a leadership role for the 4+ years.
- Good understanding of the food tech industry. Ability to understand and articulate technical concepts, and translate them into industry- or business-relevant terms.
- Ability to hire, train and coach a high-performance sales team.
- Capable of exhibiting an empathetic, precise and articulate approach towards engaging senior decision makers and helping them understand the business value in adopting a SaaS/technical solution.
- A clear and correct manner of communicating their thoughts verbally or in a written form.
- Ability to operate in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment.
- Experience at selling a SaaS solution and able to understand technical topics comfortably.
- Well versed in managing their day-to-day activities on a CRM tool like Salesforce.
- Hands on leader - inherent urge to spend time with customers; cannot sit behind a desk.

- Prior experience in a high growth startup environment.
- Experience in the F&B industry.
- Feels at home working with salesforce and spreadsheets for tracking and analytical tasks.
