National Collection Head - NBFC

We are working on a senior position with India's growing education focused NBFC which provides affordable education finance to Indian students.

They are looking to hire senior Collection Legal manager who can manage a team of legal professionals to define and implement collection legal strategy to recover from delinquent customers.

Key responsibilities:

- Responsible to manage all legal and delinquency related action like sending demand notice, LRN, Sec. 138, arbitration, Lok Adalat, Civil Suits, DRT & SARFAESI, NCLT

- Adhere to agreed TAT for initiating action

- Support collection team and branch team to recover from Delinquent & NPA cases

- Ensuring advocates and arbitrators are appointed as per process

- Build robust system to have automated initiation of legal tool including notices and partner payments

- Cross-function collaboration for effective resolution / settlement of legal matters of the company and the group

- Management Reporting of Litigations

Key Criteria to qualify for the role:

- Graduation with 12+ years' experience required in financial services preferably NBFCs/Banks dealing with Legal cases/Arbitration.

- Experience of recovery from hard bucket is essential

- Role requires 10-12 days of travel legal and collection related actions on ground.
