JOB OVERVIEW: The Sales Leader for Channel Business within the BID (Biosciences) sector is responsible for driving and managing sales strategies focused on channel markets, specifically in the life sciences and related industries such as pharma, diagnostics, chemicals, and medical devices. This role requires deep expertise in channel development, engagement, fulfillment, and compliance, with a strong ability to influence stakeholders in achieving business objectives.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum 15+ years of progressive experience in sales, with a demonstrated track record in channel business development.

- Educational background in science is required.

- Industry experience in life sciences, pharma, diagnostics, chemicals, or medical devices is essential.

- Proven ability to influence without direct authority and drive channel strategies effectively.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Channel Business Management:

- Develop and implement comprehensive channel strategies to drive business growth in the BID sector.

- Identify, evaluate, and select appropriate channel partners based on business needs and market dynamics.

- Foster strong relationships with channel partners to ensure effective engagement and alignment with company objectives.

Sales Strategy and Execution:

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and execute sales plans that align with corporate goals and revenue targets.

- Drive the adoption of sales programs, promotions, and initiatives to enhance market penetration and customer acquisition.

- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and adaptation of sales strategies.

Compliance and Performance Management:

- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements within the channel network.

- Evaluate channel partner performance regularly against agreed metrics and KPIs.

- Implement corrective actions and provide necessary support to optimize channel performance and achieve business objectives.

Relationship Management:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for key channel partners, fostering strong relationships and addressing any issues or concerns promptly.

- Conduct regular business reviews with channel partners to assess performance, identify opportunities, and drive continuous improvement.

Business Development and Expansion:

- Identify new market opportunities and potential channel partners to expand business reach and market share.

- Lead negotiations and contractual agreements with channel partners, ensuring terms are favorable and aligned with company objectives.

Influence and Collaboration:

- Effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product management, and customer support to drive channel success.

- Utilize strong influencing skills to gain support for channel initiatives and ensure alignment with broader organizational goals.

REPORTING AND ANALYSIS:

- Prepare regular reports and presentations on channel performance, market trends, and sales forecasts for senior management.

- Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions and recommendations for channel optimization and business growth.
