As the Associate Director of Finance Controllership at Mystifly, you will oversee and manage the organization's financial control and reporting functions. You will play a crucial role in ensuring financial operations' accuracy, integrity, and compliance while providing strategic financial guidance to senior management. This position requires a strong finance, accounting, and controllership background and excellent leadership and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Compliance:
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analysis to senior management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor changes in accounting regulations and ensure implementation of necessary adjustments.
Financial Controls and Policies:
- Establish and maintain effective financial control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets.
- Oversee internal control activities, including risk assessment, identification of control gaps, and implementation of remedial actions.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal controls and recommend process improvements.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Monitor financial performance against budgeted targets, analyze variances, and provide actionable recommendations to achieve financial objectives.
Cash Flow Management:
- Manage cash flow projections, monitor liquidity, and recommend strategies to optimize working capital.
- Oversee treasury activities, including cash management, banking relationships, and foreign exchange exposure.
Team Leadership:
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the finance controllership team.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and high-performance within the team.
Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including senior management, department heads, and external auditors to address financial concerns, provide insights, and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Support the Head of Finance in presenting financial information to the Board of Directors and investors.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting with CA
- Proven experience (8+ years) in finance, accounting, or controllership roles, with progressive leadership responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in using financial management software and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and meet deadlines.
