The Product Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and support teams to ensure revenue and project delivery goals are met.
The Product Manager will build products from existing ideas, and help to develop new ideas based on the industry experience and client feedback. The Product Manager's job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company's overall strategy and goals.
Roles & Responsibility :
- Define the product strategy and roadmap & own the whole process till execution
- Deliver MRDs and PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification and demonstrate value through data and business impact
- Write functional designs (based on PRDs) for broader products
- Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and drive key finding for product assessment
- Perform product demos to front end teams
- Work with a cross functional team including Product Management, Product Development, engineering teams to define and deliver products
- Act as the internal and external evangelist for the product offering, working closely with the sales channel and key users
- Be the in-house expert in one or more industry verticals and/or business area (preferred - Banking & Payments, Media Solutions, Monetization, Retail, E-Com etc)
- Should be capable of working on a 1 - 2 year vision with stamina and perseverance to pursue, follow up, close projects and provide weekly updates
Desired Skills and Experience:
Mandatory Skills:
- 2-5 years experience in the Product Management space (internet industry B2C preferred)
- Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
- Knowledge of Governance, Risk, Compliance & Quality desirable with multiple dimensions to product features and its impact to end business
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Examples and at least one sample of an effective document delivered in the past
- Expertise in consumer internet or technology product marketing
Personal Traits:
- Ability to think out of the box & understand market, customer and business needs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
- Natural flair for networking within organization and ability to collaborate & mobilize teams for projects
- Excellent communication skills with command on overall thought process to translate product value to measurable business metrics and demonstrating the same to key stake holders
Minimum qualifications: MBA from premier institute
