Position: Manager (Category Operations)
Brief about the role :
Category Operations team at Myntra is responsible for building a world class - Supplier Platform. The team is responsible for identifying opportunities, designing solutions (in form of products and processes), getting them implemented and adopted. These solutions typically transcend across functions and are aimed to enable Myntra engage with its partners in order to build a scalable and profitable ecosystem.
- This is fairly cross-functional role, entailing collaborating Internally with Category, Technology, Product development, SCM Teams and Externally with Brands & Vendors
- Ideal candidate should be able to understand business & stakeholder priorities and design & execute products/process, which help address these priorities
- Candidate should lead the identification of such product/process, ensure right design, development & implementation and should own its business impact
- Candidate will need to develop deep understanding of the category planning and retail business operations, customer preferences & back-end operations function, to identify gaps and develop solutions for the same
- Candidate must be enthusiastic about managing complex projects with multiple moving parts and stakeholders across various teams, and must be comfortable in working with large data sets to drive decision making
- Candidate must be able to identify & define metrics that shall form part of the vendor performance index and carry out continuous monitoring of these metrics. He/she should run basic analytics on vendor performances and determine root causes for dips in vendor performances and suggest improvements
- Candidates should have a knack for problem solving and should have the capability to deal with uncertainty and bringing structure in unstructured scenario. Building elaborate business cases and selling solutions to Management team and other stakeholders would also be a typical day's work
Basic qualifications :
- 2+ years of relevant post MBA experience with some e-commerce, product management, or consulting experience
- MBA from Tier-1 B School
- Strong analytical skills and process orientation, with strong attention to detail and ability to make data-backed decisions
- Strong verbal & written communication skills
- Self-directed focus and ability to prioritize within an ambiguous environment
- Ability to execute and follow through on high-quality output, with limited oversight
- Ability to work with cross-functional leaders and influence/rally/align them towards a common org/business goal
- Proficiency in Excel and SQL would be extremely helpful in this role
