Product & Selection Manager - Role:
This role is responsible for improving product selection & inventory bets, through deeper understanding of what type of products are working well with our customers. As a ProductOps manager, you will identify & develop a deep knowledge of product attributes and drive the implementation for capturing & analyzing the critical product-level information required to make better selection choices.
The ideal candidate will be intellectually curious, and has strong attention to detail and follow through. He or she must have a high degree of comfort working on detail-oriented work in apparel products & specification. He or she must not be afraid to step out of their comfort zone, and develop the knowledge wherever needed, and quickly become a domain expert.
He or she will work with different teams across Myntra, and will be an effective influencer as well as a leader. He or she must be enthusiastic about managing challenging, lengthy projects across multiple teams, and must be comfortable working with large amounts of data to make decisions and build business cases.
Professional traits not unique to this position, but necessary for Myntra Business Managers:
- Coordinate various project activities with different departments, follow-up on agreed upon milestones and maintain tracker for critical projects with weekly updates
- Help in articulating business processes in close collaboration with respective business stakeholders and streamlining
- Conduct analysis for assigned business problem by collecting data from all internal and external sources and perform analysis to get answers to business questions.
- Put together excel models for business scenario analysis
- Conduct Market research for an assigned topic to dig out relevant data and analytics
- Deeper analysis of consumer behaviors & trends, by reviewing the internal & external data
- Develop a short-term and long-term roadmap for growth and report to Senior Management on a regular basis
Basic qualifications:
- 4+ years of relevant experience
- MBA from Tier-1 B Schools
- Exceptional communication skills (verbal & written) and influencing skills
- Strong Analytical Skills and Process Orientation
- Self-directed focus and ability to prioritize within an ambiguous environment
- Drive to independently develop a data-driven point of view, and execute across with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, complex and unstructured cross-functional environment
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership and drive results
- Ability to think analytically and strategically, with strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, manage and prioritize multiple projects
Preferred qualifications:
- 6+ years of ecommerce, product management, consulting or related experience
- Deep domain expertise in fashion products and clothing / textile apparel
