Position : Head of Demand Planning at Myntra
Level : (Sr Director)
JOB DESCRIPTION
1(a) As the head of the Central Demand Planning team at Myntra, this person would be responsible for the delivery of demand plan for all Business Units of Myntra
1(b) Units and Revenue Forecasting: Spearhead demand forecasting in the short and long term for different types of categories, taking into account the differences and similarities in the nature of businesses within the Myntra platform. Build/improve statistical models which help in creating baseline forecast and input based models for event / intervention planning.
1(c) Sale Event Planning: Own the end-to-end business planning for sale events in Myntra. This involves demand modeling for various event scenarios which help in taking decisions around scale, timing, spends of the sale event. Forecast demand for sale events considering supply, inventory constraints. Help in demand shaping of the sale event by providing the right inputs around hour level demand and traffic projections
1(d) Visits Planning: Lead the traffic planning effort for all platforms of Myntra viz. Mobile App, Desktop and M-site across various channels such as SEO, SEM, Push Notifications, Digital, Social etc.
1(e) Customer Planning: Create customer projections for Myntra at various BU and platform level. Develop a sound understanding of key customer metrics such as repeat rate, New customer adoption, Wallet share etc., thereby helping marketing and business functions take decisions on marketing spend, focus customer cohorts etc.
1(f). Support business decision making: Create demand scenarios around inputs and constraints which helps leadership and business teams take critical decisions in a dynamic e-commerce business environment
- Builds capabilities for multidimensional planning capability expansion (time horizon and planning depth ) to solve multiple business problems. Developed multiple methods of triangulation while using top down/bottoms up planning methods .
- Is conversant with fundamental first principles of Demand planning, merchandising planning and SKU planning and evolves current demand planning methods using tenets of all of the above
- Helps partner function to scale up new capabilities and programs and effectively participates in growth and profitability drives.
- Facilitate key decision making by engaging multi platform leadership to drive end to end plans and execution by partnership.
- Coaches /mentors teams and peers and sets right templates for smoother and deeper planning. Engages and facilitates career growth of subordinates , develops and evolves right organization structure aligned with Myntra values and tenets.
- Attracts and develops new talent, devices strategy for role growth and in turn builds and evolves a smoothly functioning and effective organization.
Qualifications and Experience
- MBA graduate with industry expertise in consulting ,FMCG , E-commerce sectors . Should have overall experience of 12-14 years
