JOB Description for Treasury Manager
- An ex-banker who handled treasury function in the bank, FI's or currency houses.
- Partly with commodity trading background
- Have handled working capital management and appraisal
Major Job role of Treasury:
- Background in currencies (like traders or bankers);
- Build and maintain local banking relationships in Ghana.
Treasury management:
- Organize book and report trades by negotiating till the final price & cost.
- Market research & reporting on various instruments - Bonds, FDs, tbills, Private placements
- Review currency decisions, manual trade adjustments, derivatives, and other manual processes
- Perform Trading Cost Analysis (TCA), market activity, or other ad hoc requests.
- Stay abreast of related market activity. Gathers up to date information from FCs, investment bankers, private portfolio managers, and external brokers.
- Develop internal and external relationships with Bankers/traders/institutions to maintain detailed knowledge of the Fixed Income trading industry and practices.
- Optimizing excess cash through secured operations
- Daily/weekly/monthly Treasury reporting.
Special project:
- Work with internal AI / Big data team on currency prediction and forecast modeling
- Lead the project from the user point of view by providing all the details required
- Have a weekly call and report update
- Leading Treasury Projects from scoping to execution
Risk Management:
- Close monitoring of all the currency risk taken by business
- Providing the best hedges solution
- Highlighting any key breaches arising due to currency risk
Qualifications:
- 10+ years- experience in financial services and/or Treasury experience.
- Experience in emerging markets currency trading is a must.
- Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and analytical skills in areas of high complexity.
- Demonstrate sound judgment in resolving matters of high complexity.
- Take initiative by identifying issues and recommending solutions on complex and broad matters.
- Ability to prioritize assigned work and complete in a timely manner.
- Effective written and oral communication skills with a diverse group of associates and senior business leaders.
- Ability to collaborate and develop/maintain working relationships inside and outside the organization.
- Strong attention to detail while juggling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interest in financial markets and Fixed Income.
- Strong Excel skills and Bloomberg knowledge.
Being an ex-banker is a must and with Ghana experience
