Position Title - Procurement & Supply Chain Head
Matrix reporting - Manufacturing Head
Supervises : Procurement, Store, MRP, Supply Chain Planning

External Vendors
Job Purpose:
a. MRP Based on the business/operating plan of the business, plan for availability of material in the right quantity, of the right quality, at the right time, and at the best possible price and terms.
Confer with supply chain planners to forecast demand or create supply plans that ensure availability of materials or products.
SOURCING - Technical Sourcing of PU Sheet Metal, (Casting & Forging), Direct/Indirect Purchase. Capital Goods Machinery, Hardware Items
b. JIT To work on JIT delivery concept.
To Make sure that the Raw material is in house as per the Production planning
c. Vendor Development. Keep informed of trends in global markets/ domestic markets and be alert to changes so as to get best terms and avoid adverse terms for the company.
- Develop new reliable vendors to ensure supplies at best terms and quality on a continuous basis.
- Negotiating price and contracts on a periodic basis.
d. Reduce Inventory Cost By Implementing JIT to work with Optimal Inventory level in house.
- Ensure no loss due to stock outs, emergency purchase, excess inventory, wrong quality etc.
e. Efficient Manufacturing Strategy By sourcing Material from Different location/ vendors on time to successfully implement manufacturing strategies.
f. MIS Reporting To continuously update management with MIS reports on material, procurement, quality enhancement and cost saved
g. Benchmarking with Best practices Continuously benchmarking with the best practices. Accountabilities
a. Strategic Planning Accountable to form strategic plans for meeting demands of production.
b. Inventory Control Monitoring stock level & ensuring Stores have enough stock, Making sure suppliers have enough stock to meet demands
c. Cost Reduction Keeping updated of trends to ensure Company enjoys the best quality at the best possible prices and terms
d. Development and assessment of Vendors Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, vendors. Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.
e. Implement ERP Train team in ERP Usage
Implement ERP in resource planning
f. Ensuring no stoppage of production due to non-availability of material Ensure all logistics and support for procurement, import, clearance, transport etc. are planned in advance to ensure availability of materials at the right time and place.
Document physical supply chain processes, such as workflows, cycle times, position responsibilities, or system flows.
g. People Management Continuous training and development of talent, Ensure low attrition
Qualifications and Experience:
Education - Minimum a B. Tech / BE Mechanical
- Preferably Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain Management.
- Experience 13-16 years of relevant work experience preferably in Engineering Manufacturing, Automobile, Auto Components Company
- At least 3-5 years in team handling.
- Training Relevant Training
- Six Sigma, Leadership etc.
