Location: Kochi, Delhi

Muthoot Finance is the largest Gold financing company in the world, serving about 2.5 crore customers annually. Its Gold loan portfolio has rapidly expanded from INR 3,300 crore in 2009 to INR 26,000 crore in 2013. It aims to expand into new markets and new businesses in the near future as well as consolidate its market leadership in Gold Loans.

Position Summary:

He/She will report directly to the Chairman and support in governance, decision-making and execution

Primary Responsibilities:

Analysis of businesses and projects:

- Analyse MIS of business departments and create and maintain dashboards

- Present weekly business and market update

- Key role in drafting and reviewal of corporate strategy

- Liaison with McKinsey / advisors – monitor implementation of Transformation projects

Assist in decision making and communication:

- Screen out 2nd priority calls, meetings and written material

- Review majority material before coming to Chairman

- Proactively suggest how to delegate, and follow up on delegated tasks

- Draft notes, letters and emails on behalf of CEO

- Synthesise all communications to CEO, Highlight important issues and suggest next steps

Key result areas for the role:

For the first 18 months, the performance in this role is expected to positively impact the followings metrics:

- # of insights incorporated into decision making

- # of new business opportunities identified

- Change in Business Turnover, Valuation

- Quality of communication material generated

Skills and Requirements:

- MBA from Tier-1 business school or equivalent post graduate qualification

- Preference given to those with experience in similar roles

- 2-4 years' experience in consulting roles or key operational/strategy roles

- Knowledge in banking, financial services preferable

The professional will also need:

- Ability to collate market information and develop necessary strategy for growth of business

- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

- Ability to analyze and break complex problems into smaller manageable parts.

- Ability to work in a non-hierarchical set up.

- Ability to work with individuals / teams across levels.

- Excellent financial / business acumen

- Good analytical skills

- Good communication skill, both written & verbal
