Main Tasks and/or Projects :
1) Closely working working with R&D /Marketing/Exports team and capturing the insights feedback, that matter in making a difference to the business.
2) Provide technical guidelines to Recipes on Regulatory limits of ingredients in making final product development
3) Working closely with packaging development team to ensure that the packaging innovations on the category are delivered meeting all norms (FSSAI,SWM Act/Rules,USFDA.CFIA,etc.).
4) Strong process orientation - Driving CFT with Corp.Legal team, Factory quality team to appraise changes in Food Regulatory environment and plan appropriate actions.
5) Interact with Regulatory Authorities, Industry chambers and research institutes to monitor Regulatory changes.
6) Food Licensing related activities-FSSAI, EIA, ect.,
7) Export product and label compliance.
8) Claims mitigation and substantiation.
Education :
- Msc/PhD/M. Tech/B. Tech in any of the following areas: Chemistry/Bio chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Technology
Experience :
1) Experience of over 6 years in Regulatory (Foods), with specific 2 years of operational experience is most preferred. Experience of 1-2 years in Quality Assurance area will be a added advantage.
2) Specific areas to focus would be as follows :
- Role of functional Ingredients in New product development.
- Knowledge of Food legal norms FSSAI, SWM, USFDA, CFIA,etc.
- Networking skills with Industry bodies, Regulatory authorities
- Setting standards : Design level (Product & Packaging compliances).
